The idea
here is simple - life happens. I would miss a training
class because of work, traffic, illness, etc and there was no
way to make it up. I also have done construction for a living,
which more often than not involved an intense physical workout.
I would seem to forget that it was actually more training, only
to realize at the onset of my racing season that I had over
trained and was exhausted. That was when I realized that
it was time to take matters into my own hands. I was able to
use all the knowledge I had acquired and tailor it not only to
me, but my lifestyle. From then on, I didn't have to worry
about putting my life on hold so that I could get to a class
that only happened at a specific day and time! I didn't have to
worry about overtraining because I was able to modify my
workouts to fit into my life -
